Yesterday I moved my desktop to my new house and I guess during the process, something must have gotten unsettled. Anyway, everytime that I try to turn it on, it loads up to the part with the screen names and then it restarts. I clicked F8 and non of the options there solve the problem. It is running on Windows XP and it was purchased around 2001. I know that I need a new one anyway but I have very important files that I need to retrieve. Not to mention thousands of songs too. I dont really know what to do, I dont want to reload windows immediately because I want to keep my files. If that is my only option, is there anyway that I can take old hard drive and put them on another desktop and save it to a disk or buy a new harddrive and load windows on it and attempt to retreive my old files? I am currently using a friend's computer but I really need my own to work.

I also got the following technical information
STOP: 0x00000050
