Last week I began rcving BSOD stop error messages, but I can't connect them to any system or application changes. I've searched Microsoft and can't find any articles that seem to apply. Thought I'd post my info. here and see if anyone could direct me. I am able to boot and use the computer, but eventually will rcv. the BSOD. Also, I'm unable to do a complete AVG scan, without getting BSOD at some point well into the scan.

These are the last 3 error signatures and associated files:

Navigate to: C:\Windows\Minidump folder.
If you see any .dmp files, zip all of them, and attach zipped file to your next reply.

This morning I went o manuf. website and updated BIOS.

Why? It's absolutely not advisable, unless necessary.

Most errors point to ntkrpamp.exe file, and few other errors state: Could not read faulting driver name, but they point to hardware issue, make me believe, you may have RAM problem.

Run Windows Memory Diagnostics Tool: http://www.geekstogo...ol-t177564.html

Updated BIOS because it was indicated in the BSOD's I was receiving.

Preparing to run Window Memory Diagnostic Tool.

We'll go back to possible RAM issue later, but for now...
One of the dump file pointed to avg7rsxp.sys file, so there is also possible, that your AV program has some problems (some infection would be another possibility).
AVG 7.5 support was supposed to be shut down last August, but it looks like ongoing problems with ver. 8.0, keep ver. 7.5 alive.
Instead of waiting for AVG 7.5 discontinuation, I propose, you uninstall AVG 7.5, and install ONE of these:
- Avast! free antivirus: http://www.avast.com...avast-home.html
- Avira free antivirus: http://www.free-av.c...load/index.html
This way, we'll eliminate one possibility of your BSODs.
When you install one of the above programs, run full scan.

In the process of removing AVG, received this message.

This is fine. AVG uninstaller simply had to close Firefox to finish.

Now we'll have to wait, and see, if any BSOD will happen again.

Still getting blue screens. Could get Avast to do a quick scan but would get a blue screen before it could do an in depth scan.

Go back to C:\Windows\Minidump folder
Zip all .dmp files created AFTER 2/16/09, and attach zipped file to your next reply.
.dmp file looks like this:
Mini021609-09.dmp, where 021609 means February 16th 2009

Again, all your errors list:
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA with ntkrpamp.exe being at fault.

I think, you need to replace your RAM.
I realize, you ran RAM test, but unfortunately, software test are not always reliable.
