I have a acer aspire 4315 notebook

I'm trying to connect to a INTERNET connection from work with my laptop from home which I live upstairs from my office.I'm picking up a signal from my office INTERNET but every time i try to connect to it it keep telling me that it cannot connect to the link sys which is the name of the router to thats connected to the computer at work. also the INTERNET main source is from cable modem . Is there anyway that I can connect to my INTERNET connection from work to my laptop.

Hello and welcome to geekstogo. Are you still having a issue with your internet connection. If so could you please provide me with the following information.

What is the model number of your linksys router? This is found on the bottom of your router.
Is the Connection encripted if so what type?
What signal strength are you getting to your linksys router?
