Currently I have 2 running on my computer.
Norton and AVG 8.0.

But i've been told Norton sucks.
And I can't compare AVG with anything, so what is the best one out there? ~

bad idea for two reason...#1 norton sucks...and #2 you should never have two AV's running that have live scanners (like AVG and norton) at the same time....

Alright, i'mma delete norton now.

But why is that?
and also, would you recommend anything besides avg?

why is what? that you shouldn't have two AV's running? because they fight each other and can cause serious problems

in my experience AVG is actually one of the better free ones...so is avast....for paid stuff i LOVE NOD32....IMO it's at the top of the list...of course i'm not an expert

also Norton doesn't go with out a fight so you might need the removal tool......

Yes, it has real-time scanning of files, as do any good AVs. That's why you don't want more than one installed at a time. They'll both try to scan files and can cause conflicts and system slowdowns.

are you using them together on the same system? It is strongly recommended that you run only one antivirus program at a time. Having more than one antivirus program active in memory can cause system crashes, high system usage and/or conflicts with each other witch will make your system run sluggish.
