my netdefense firewall has been running for days how can i stop it?

Rather confusing -- a firewall is an essential safety device for internet users so why should you want to stop it. Not familiar with netdefence but if you right click it's icon in the system-tray you should get a menu with the option to 'Allow All' or 'Exit the firewall". If you want rid of it altogether, go to 'Add/Remove Programs' in Control Panel and remove it. But don't use the net without a firewall!
