I accidentally downloaded a file called VCoded 1.47, falling for one of the oldest tricks in the book to accept willingly a Trojan/Spyware to install on my PC. Now, after more-or-less dealing with Popuper.exe and Intmon.exe (amongst others...), I still seem to be having trouble with my PC, even though I've managed to fix half of my problem. Following over and over the reccomendations before posting the HJT log and of other similar cases, but seeing how the problem persists, I have decided to go directly to you people and hope you can help me solve this problem, please.

Without further ado, here's the HTJ Log:

* Please download Silent Runners.
* Save it to the desktop.
* Run Silent Runner's by doubleclicking the Silent Runners icon on your desktop.
* You will see a text file appear on the desktop - it's not done yet just let it run (it won't appear to be doing anything!)
* Once you receive the prompt "All Done!" double-click the new text file on the desktop, copy that entire log, and paste it here.

*NOTE*If you get any kind of warning message about scripts, please choose to allow the script to run.

Hi MrDuck, bananafanafo,

Sorry to barge in.

Could you please surf to the uploads forum here:
http://www.thespykil...forum/index.php
and upload a copy of:
C:\WINDOWS\System32\hp50.tmp

We suspect it to be responsible for the quicknavigate hijack.

Include a link to this thread http://www.geekstogo...ase-t22996.html
in your post there.

Thanks in advance,

Done and done, it seems that the problem's been fixed. Thank you very much *bows* :tazz:

Though, just a few doubts before posting the HJT log:
1.I did not find the: O2 - BHO: VMHomepage Class - {FFFFFFFF-FFFF-FFFF-FFFF-FFFFFFFFFFFF} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\hp50.tmp, line to check and fix at HJT. So, I just wondered what it meant.
2.When I rebooted in normal mode, my desktop wallpaper was all blue, so I had to change it again, dunno why it did that.

Now, without further ado, the log:

Nice to meet you Luis! Let me clear up your doubts first:

Though, just a few doubts before posting the HJT log:
1.I did not find the: O2 - BHO: VMHomepage Class - {FFFFFFFF-FFFF-FFFF-FFFF-FFFFFFFFFFFF} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\hp50.tmp, line to check and fix at HJT.So, I just wondered what it meant.

That means we had already deleted it from your system prior to running HJT. :tazz:

2.When I rebooted in normal mode, my desktop wallpaper was all blue, so I had to change it again, dunno why it did that.

There is a tiny piece of code in the regedit that you made that changes your background color to classic XP blue. The other alternative is black which is what normally happens when dealing with this infection. Nothing to worry about - we just like the blue better than the black ;)

I will look at your log and be back asap! ;)
