Hi, I just recently discovered in my Disk Utility this information:

Disk Description : ST9120821AS Media Total Capacity : 111.8 GB (120,034,123,776 Bytes)
Connection Bus : Serial ATA 2 Write Status : Read/Write
Connection Type : Internal S.M.A.R.T. Status : Failing
Partition Scheme : GUID Partition Table

I don't understand what is happening and wondering if anyone could help?

Little things have started to go wrong;
1. I now have to log in every time I start up.
2. Internet, battery, date & time, bluetooth do not show up in menu bar anymore. (I have checked all the
appropriate boxes in system preferences)
3. All 3 printers have disappeared and will not download drivers.
4. CD/DVD drive does not read.
5. USB ports not working.

Please can someone give me some kind of explanation on what is going on, or what I can do
to fix this?? Thank you, Thank you, very much!!

Quick, back up all your data and buy a new hard drive. Try bringing in to the nearest apple store.

That error means the disc will fail soon.

Sry :)

Thank you very much, can you suggest how I can back up all my data or with what program?
I tried to download CARBON COPY CLONER, but all I got was something like -no mountable something-
Sorry, not a computer geek, wish I was though.
