The problem:
Windows starts up fine and fast,
I can log onto any account I want, and everything is fine.
As soon as I need to change accounts, log off, restart or shut down,
it hangs on the "Saving your settings" screen or a light blue screen with a "thinking" mouse icon
I cannot restore seeing as to how the comp must be restarted for that to work, however I have yet to make an attempt in safe mode




Thanks in advance for any help,
I've been a lurker here for some time now,
but this is the first time I've really needed some help

Well, after tinkering around a bit....
It turns out it had something to do with Zonealarm [which I have used for two years and this is the first time it has done anything like this]
After uninstalling it...everything is back to normal
=/
