I have tried to install this driver with the CD that came with the motherboard and XP doesn't seem to detect the proper driver

I am using the MSI KT4 Ultra (MS-6590) motherboard

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance

Download latest chipset drivers from http://www.viaarena.com and it should be okay after that.

We need to know what chipset you have there.

Download, and install Everest: http://www.majorgeek...wnload4181.html
Open it, click Computer, then Summary.
In upper menu, go Report>Quick Report-Summary
Save it in text file, and paste it in your next post.
Don't include anything under the line Debug - PCI

Hmm seems that the driver didn't work its still asking for it after I installed it

As a side note my video card is showing up incorrectly as well this is suppose to be a 8x/4x agp slot on this board and it isn't even showing agp 8x in the bios settings...

I doubt it since they are for the hdd light and the reset button etc

As to the video card I fixed it so thats no longer an issue

Not sure why the driver didn't work though
