Toshiba A60 start up problems

Hi,

This laptop start light when pressed turns blue as does the caps lock key and the lights below F10 and F11, the fan rns ok. After a second there is a long beep and then it powers off.

I just got this P4 Toshiba A60. I was mostly working, then I switched it off pulled it apart and did the following:-

Took fan out and cleaned it out, changed the tochpad and board, replaced the 2 brocken screen hinges.

I cant see that this should have had any effect at all.

Any ideas?
