I currently have windows 7 on my computer, and it has been nothing but problems for me. I am unhappy and i would like to have xp on my laptop. I recently recieved a dvd with the iso file for xp sp2. Now when booting from the disk, i already went in to bios and set cd/dvd to the number one spot. But, most of the time it either just loads windows 7, or it thinks for a bit, and then displays that the media test failed, and that the process has ended. After, windows 7 loads. Can anyone please help me solve this issue. All i want is to have xp on my system. Thx ahead of time.

You will probably need to wipe the hard drive and then try installing XP on your system. Most likely windows will not let you install a earlier XP system over it. It also may be that the ISO is not burned as a bootable DVD.

You might read this on bootable DVD's.
