I hadn't had any problems with my computer until just about a month ago. I had been watching reruns of old shows online and then POOF, one day my puter started giving me problems. Programs not opening, CPU Usage at 100% on and off (mostly on..ugh) um.... When i tried to play some music (with iTunes or Windows Media) it sounds like a CD skipping...as if my computer can't keep up??? It happens when i try to open up anything? It's almost like something is crunching at my memory, but I can't find what it is... I tried disabling start up items (msconfig) and fixing & or removing old programs, but I haven't been able to find what the culprit is of my computer problems? I thought that maybe i picked up a bug or something, but Trend Micro nor Spy Sweeper is finding anything that would fix the issue.
I also updated my sound & video card drivers, that didn't do anything. I also updated Spy Sweeper and Trend Micro thinking that maybe they were corrupt and were hogging memory, but that didn't work. I tried looking up on the internet what processes were running and I couldn't find anything that seemed out of the ordinary, so this is definitely over my head as far as what I'm capable of doing myself. I'm totally lost....

I have an HP Pavilion dv8315nr Entertainment Notebook PC running Windows XP Media. I have an AMD Turion 64 Mobile Processor.... 1024MB RAM and 100GB Hard drive.... (hope those specs are enough???)
