I have the general knowledge of what to look for in a video card(like the graphics processor) but are there any tips or other things to look for when buying a new video card? Like what brands you prefer, what are good graphics processors? What NOT to get? Anything input would be great!

I'm looking for a good gaming video card, at somewhat at a reasonable price if possible.

Thanks!

What i mainly look at is the Stream Processors. These really affect how the video card works. Memory helps but no as much as stream processors. The different speeds can help but only by a few FPS depending on the video card. Im not sure of your budget for a video card. What you shouldn't get is a 9800gt. For almost the same price you can get a 9800 gtx.
