Hello,

I am posting this from a different computer than the infected computer becasue the infected computer won't allow me to get to your site. When I try to open a website, it redirects me to a different site or it gives me the message the "IE cannot display the website". It does allow me to to open my homepage, which is set to Yahoo.

I tried to post the hijackthis logfile for the infected computer, but I got a message from your site telling me it is outdated and I need to download and run a current version. However, I can't get a current version to run on the infected computer.

So I have posted the part of the file that doesn't show the version below....hope it works this time....

Note: If you already have Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, just run and update it.. Then do a "Perform Full Scan"

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.

• Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
• If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
• Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Full Scan", then click Scan.
• The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
• When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
• Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
• When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)

I do have Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware on the infected computer, but when I click on it to run it, nothing happens. I open task manager and I can see it in the processes, but the memory use for that process (mbam) is low and it doesn't increase. It's as if the Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware program just stalls. It doesn't ever open and run.

The infected computer won't allow me to download a new version either.

What should I do?

I could not get Malwarebytes to run on the computer.

I never got an info.txt file that came up after I ran RSIT, just the log.txt file.

Also, when I tried to run GMER after downloading it, nothing happened. I tried a few times...the program just stalls and doesn't run.

Note: If you already have Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, just run and update it.. Then do a "Perform Full Scan"

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.

• Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
• If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
• Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Full Scan", then click Scan.
• The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
• When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
• Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
• When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)
• The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
• Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply.

Extra Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove,you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts,click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process,if asked to restart the computer,please do so immediately.
