After some mighty struggles and lots of help from the Malware forum, my system is clean from Malware. I am now trying to repair damage. I am running XP Home and Media Edition on a Dell Dimension 9100. I am not sure the extent of my damage, but here are the issues I have observed:

1. System restore will not work (ever since the initial virus attack, it worked before). I tried to reinstall it, but the install fails. I have tried doing it with the current versions of the files and from the XP CD I got from Dell.

2. I cannot get the Windows updates to work. It fails at the point of checking my system on line.

3. I am sure there are probably others, I just haven't seen them yet.

I appreciate any help anyone can give...
