Hi Everyone, I am hoping that someone can help me. My son had the stupid winiguard pop up and the low memory pop up on his laptop. I have followed several steps to delete the files. I removed them from the system 32 folder, from the registry and the task manager..
Just ran a search and all the files are gone.

Still having problems with the laptop

operating System Windows XP
Laptop is freezing up and I have no access to alot of programs.. Some of which are antivirus(threatfire), can't make any dial up connections.
This is starting to get very annoying.
I thought I would do a clean install. But the Mini 9 laptop does not have a cd drive. I have copied all the xp files unto my thumb drive but it stilll does not work...

Please let me know what I can do..

Thanks

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty (and you may not be) then post a hijackthis log in THE MALWARE FORUM forum.
(Posting HiJack This logs in any other forum other than the malware forum is forbidden. If you post an HJT log in any other forum, it will be removed and it will take you longer to get help, so please make sure you only post HJT logs in the malware forum)

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread..
