i am dying to find a site that can tell me how to create and run some type of program, OS, or Application i am more for the the OS but i know i need to start out small.. but if someone could do a brother a favor and either point out a site that could help me do one of the 3 or someone that can help me i would really appreciate it cuz i am trying to become a progammer of some sort and i have to start out some way...
so plz get back to me!

But you might screw up your computer in the process... :)

Do the same for the programs, there's plenty on google. You should start off with ruby, download ruby at:

http://www.ruby-lang.org/en/downloads/

If you're wondering what ruby is, it's something called a programming language, used to make programs.

If you are a beginner you should go to a local bookstore and get some books on beginning programming. The Dummies series is usually good for beginners. Start with a simple programming language such as, BASIC, or if you really want a challenge, go right into a really powerful and widely used language, C++. Here is a website with many tutorials

Start small with command line programs, and maybe someday you will be able to program an OS.
