just recently switched browsers from internet explorer to firefox my computer was working fine for a couple of days then it started loading pages very slow i read about spware doctor and adware i ran both of these products and my computer still runs slow so i researched hijackthis and any help i can get is greatly appreciated also im a newbie i know very little about computers any way this is my log

You are running HijackThis from the Desktop; please create a new folder for it and move the program into the new folder

It will get rid of any malware which may be hiding in your temp folders ( a common hiding place). You will also regain a massive amount of disk space. Here is a tutorial which describes its usage:

Check the custom settings to your liking under options, but be sure to delete temporary files and temporary internet files for all user profiles. Also, cleanout the prefetch folder and the recycle bin.

i tried to do a virus scan on panda and on housecall panda said that i needed internet explorer 5.0 and housecall said i needed to run netscape as a browser im new to this so any help would be appreciated i ran hijackthis and removed those items you told me about and i also used the disk cleanup but when i tried to do the scans i encountered this problem i just switched browsers from internet explorer to firefox let me know what i need to do to get my computer to accept these scans thanx in advance

i have broadband also after doing a ewido scan i saw that TkBellexe is in my startup as well as NvCplDaemon i googled TkBellexe and im not sure but it seems to be a virus if you could shed these items it will be greatly appreciated thanx in advance

ok i'm having some problems everytime i try to move hijackthis from my desktop to a folder it tells me that it's already there i wanted to know should i uninstall it then try to install it again because it seems that i can't get it off of the desktop also i don't know how to go offline i'm new to all this thanx in advance also i almost forgot i went to the windows add/remove program icon and i'm not sure how to remove the file C:\Program Files\Real\Update_OB\realsched.exe when i went into the windows add remove it only showed icons of what is currently on the comp. do i need to do a search for this file or am i in the wrong area to remove this file
