Since they did the update on FF my home page opens up with the FF update page. I have tried to change it back to my original but no luck

Any ideas anyone?

Whenever a new version of Firefox is opened, it will always start at the "you've just updated" page with your normal homepage in a separate tab. Subsequent loading of Firefox should just open up the homepage.

If it has been changed, you can change it manually by going to Tools -> Options -> Main.

Hello jksdelver! :) I think I have found something that may help!

Here is a Mozilla Support page matching your description of the problem;

There are two methods there, the first one I believe you have already tried (changing your homepage). Try it again and if no results move on to method two following the link they provide..
