Sorry to step in Broni, but I just wanted to advance the troubleshooting a little bit.
Fma, download the Seatools for DOS (ISO CD-ROM Image)
http://www.seagate.c...ols/seatooldreg
Go here and make sure you choose the Graphical v.2.13b version and download EN (for English).
Look at the attachment to see if you got the right file.
Now get Burncdcc from here
http://www.snapfiles...t/burncdcc.html
Once downloaded, burn the .iso file to a disc using this utility. Burn at a slow speed like 1X.

It looks OK.
You must unzip it now.

Sorry guys for the unexpected absence, but I'm finally back.

I unzipped the file onto the cd with 7zip based on what Broni told me, I'm not sure what Edge told me so I'll wait for a later post.
And I'm waiting for a response because I'm not risking just popping the cd into my computer.

Sorry for not being more clear. It all looks good. Now you have to boot from the CD, and run the diagnostics.I unzipped the file onto the cd with 7zip based on what Broni told me, I'm not sure what Edge told me so I'll wait for a later post.

Sorry I've pretty much been ignoring this topic, I just didn't want to let the problems of my computer bring me down on exam times.
Anyways, I put the disc in both the CD and DVD Rom drive, and it doesn't say anything about booting the CD when I put it in either, shows the same "safe mode, start windows normally, etc." boot screen, and going back and forth to it.

You need to set your BIOS to boot from CD.
Here is an article on that: https://help.ubuntu....nity/BootFromCD

As shown in the "PC requires you to hold down or press a key to boot from CD" section, I need to press F12 right when the pc starts to boot to take me to the Boot Device Menu. It gives me the option to boot from
1. Normal
2. Diskette Drive
3. Hard-Disk Drive C:
4. IDE CD-ROM Device
I chose 4, and whether the disk is in the CD-ROM or DVD-ROM, it says
strike F1 to retry boot, F2 for setup utility

Go here: http://www.seagate.c...ols/seatooldreg
Then click on ISO CD-ROM IMAGE EN Graphical.
Download the file, and then download BurnCDCC: http://www.terabyteu...ee-software.htm
Burn the .iso file to a CD using BurnCDCC, then try booting from it.
I think you might have burnt the CD incorrectly. Does your computer have a floppy drive?

Yes... it looks like the CD is burned properly.
Try booting from it now.
If you can't boot from it, then find a computer with a floppy drive. Then follow the directions on this page: https://help.ubuntu....martBootManager
Boot from the created floppy on the bad computer, and then you can choose your desired boot device.
