Welcome to GTG.

Download Ewido Security Suite at http://www.ewido.net/en/download/

Update its database at http://www.ewido.net...wnload/updates/

Run a scan and let it clean the computer.

**Note** DO NOT REBOOT the computer during the removal process. If you do the filenames will change. If you can't leave the computer on now, I suggest not running the logs below yet. Wait until you can leave it on.

Download FindIt's.zip to your desktop: http://forums.net-in...=post&id=142443

1. Unzip/extract the files inside to a folder on your desktop.
2. Open the folder. Double click on FindIt's.bat and wait for Notepad to open a text file. It will take a while so please be patient ...
3. Then post the results here along with the new HijackThis log.

Download KillBox http://www.atribune....ads/KillBox.exe
Download and install CleanUp http://cleanup.stevengould.org/

Go to My Computer->Tools->Folder Options->View tab and make sure that Show hidden files and folders is enabled. Also make sure that the System Files and Folders are showing/visible also. Please make sure system restore is enabled by right clicking on My Computer and go to Properties->System Restore and make sure that System Restore is enabled (box should be unchecked). Once you're clean we will turn this off and then create a new restore point.

Uninstall LookSmart Toolbar from the Add/Remove panel if listed (unless you know what it's for?).

Close out all open windows and disconnect the computer from any internet access.

1. SKIP

2. Go to Start->Run and type in services.msc and hit OK. Then look for 'System Startup Service (SvcProc)' and double click on it. Click on the Stop button and under Startup type, choose Disabled.

3. Run the CleanUp program you just installed and when prompted to reboot/logoff select NO.

4. Run KillBox. Go to Tools > Delete Temp Files > Click *OK* Copy and paste the following locations into KillBox one at a time. Checkmark the box that says 'Delete on Reboot' and checkmark the box 'Unregister DLL' (If available) Click the red circle with the white X and it will ask you to confirm the file for deletion, say YES and when the next box opens prompting you to reboot now...click NO...and proceed with the next file. Once you get to the last one click NO when it asks you to reboot.

**Note** Don't let KillBox reboot the computer...Reboot manually after the fixes for the HijackThis (see below).

C:\Windows\System32\svcproc.exe
H:\WINDOWS\system32\7g4a6u0a.exe
H:\windows\system32\kjlrgq.exe
H:\Program Files\LookSmart Toolbar\

5. SKIP

6. Run a scan in HijackThis. Check each of the following and hit 'Fix checked' (after checking them) if they still exist (make sure not to miss any):

R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant = http://search.looksm...h?pi=lstb2&tv=1
R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - _{CC8C8F4F-F2E8-404B-A43D-5CC57876A008} - (no file)
R3 - URLSearchHook: LookSmart Toolbar - {CC8C8F4F-F2E8-404B-A43D-5CC57876A008} - H:\Program Files\LookSmart Toolbar\tbu84\toolbar.dll
O2 - BHO: XBTB01232 - {BBBE1C1A-89F7-4AF6-ABD1-F8FBCFA47408} - H:\PROGRA~1\LOOKSM~1\tbu84\toolbar.dll
O3 - Toolbar: LookSmart Toolbar - {CC8C8F4F-F2E8-404B-A43D-5CC57876A008} - H:\Program Files\LookSmart Toolbar\tbu84\toolbar.dll
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [oysokn] H:\windows\system32\kjlrgq.exe
O23 - Service: System Startup Service (SvcProc) - Unknown owner - H:\WINDOWS\svcproc.exe

7. Reboot the computer now. Reconnect your internet access and post another FindIt’s log and HijackThis log. Again try not to restart or shutdown during the time you post the logs here. Also post these logs:

Download and install CleanUp http://cleanup.stevengould.org/
Download KillBox http://www.atribune....ads/KillBox.exe
Download rkfiles http://skads.org/special/rkfiles.zip and unzip the contents to a new folder on your desktop.

Download the remv3.zip at http://forums.skads....hp?showtopic=80 (look for the attachment posted in that second reply). Make a new folder on the root drive C:\ and unzip remv3.zip files into it.

Go to My Computer->Tools->Folder Options->View tab and make sure that Show hidden files and folders is enabled. Also make sure that the System Files and Folders are showing/visible also.

Run CleanUp program now and logoff.

REBOOT TO SAFE MODE. These tools MUST be run in safe mode!
Once in safe mode, double click rkfiles.bat file to run it. It will scan for a while, so please be patient. Wait until the DOS window closes. Open the C:\log.txt it created and rename it log1.txt.

Now open the folder where you saved remv3.zip files and double click the rem.bat file and let it run. It will delete the files and remove the infection and then make a log of the files it finds. The log file will be C:\log.txt and bad1.txt

**Note** Each tool uses log.txt as it’s output file so make sure you save the entries from one tools log before running the other as it will overwrite the file if you don’t.

Reboot back to normal mode and post the contents of both the log.txt and log1.txt in your next post.

Where are the other logs I requested for earlier? I need rkfiles and remv3. Make sure you run them in Safe Mode also. These two must be done in safe mode.

H:\Windows\System32\svcproc.exe
H:\Windows\System32\Nail.exe
H:\windows\system32\zmhxgw.exe
H:\windows\system32\oelxwwj.exe
H:\windows\system32\zmhxgw.exe
H:\WINDOWS\.exe
H:\WINDOWS\svcproc.exe

5. Go to Start->Run and type in cmd and hit OK. Then type in each of the following (hit Enter key after each line):

cd windows
nail.exe /FullRemove
exit

6. Run a scan in HijackThis. Check each of the following and hit 'Fix checked' (after checking them) if they still exist (make sure not to miss any):

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [vydbvzc] H:\windows\system32\oelxwwj.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ffkaeq] H:\windows\system32\zmhxgw.exe

Go to Start->Run and type in regedit and hit OK. Go to File->Export and save the registry somewhere as a backup. While in the Registry Editor, navigate to the following (fix whatever applies, if it's not there just skip it):

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ and delete aurora

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Monitors\ZepMon and delete Driver

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Print\Monitors\ZepMon and delete Driver

If any of the above registry keys are giving you problems deleting, right click on them and click on Permissions. Then click on the Advanced button. Make sure the first box (Inherit from parent...) is checked. Click OK and OK. Then try deleting the entry again. Once you're done, close the Registry Editor.

7. Reboot the computer now. Reconnect your internet access and post another FindIt’s log and HijackThis log.

Question here. Is TelePacific Communication your Internet Service Provider? If not, I want you to fix this entry in HijackThis also:

O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{18BCE030-D6EE-4B3A-B668-3D75A8A5762E}: NameServer = 64.60.227.17

Please print out or copy this page to Notepad. Make sure to work through the fixes in the exact order it is mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes. You should 'not' have any open browsers when you are following the procedures below.

Run KillBox and check the box that says 'End Explorer Shell While Killing File'. Next click on 'Delete on Reboot'. For each of the following files below, check the box that says 'Unregister .dll Before Deleting' if it's not grayed out. Copy and paste each of the following into KillBox (hitting the X button for each file - choose NO when it asks if you want to reboot):

h:\windows\system32\uynefm.exe

Run a scan in HijackThis. Check each of the following and hit 'Fix checked' (after checking them) if they still exist (make sure not to miss any):

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [qxvsunk] h:\windows\system32\uynefm.exe

Go to Start->Run and type in regedit and hit OK. Go to File->Export and save the registry somewhere as a backup. While in the Registry Editor, navigate to the following (fix whatever applies, if it's not there just skip it):

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Monitors\ZepMon and delete Driver

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Print\Monitors\ZepMon and delete Driver

If any of the above registry keys are giving you problems deleting, right click on them and click on Permissions. Then click on the Advanced button. Make sure the first box (Inherit from parent...) is checked. Click OK and OK. Then try deleting the entry again. Once you're done, close the Registry Editor.

Reboot into Normal Mode run a new HijackThis scan. Save the log file and post it here. Also run FindIt's again and post that log here.

Okay, I was able to do all the steps listed again except one. When doing the below step the driver file was not found to be able to be deleted. So one of the two driver files in the Zepmon folder was there both times but not in the other.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Monitors\ZepMon and delete Driver

OK, I will ask you to check all the known registry locations to see if any others still exist there.

C:\Windows\System32\Nail.exe

O23 - Service: System Startup Service (SvcProc) - Unknown owner - H:\windows\SvcProc.exe

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ and delete Bolger

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ and delete BolgerDll.BolgerDllObj

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\ and delete {302A3240-4805-4a34-97D7-1645A0B08410}

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\ and delete {BB0D5ADC-028D-4185-9288-722DDCE2C757}

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\ and delete {92DAF5C1-2135-4E0C-B7A0-259ABFCD3904}

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Monitors\ZepMon and delete Driver

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Print\Monitors\ZepMon and delete Driver

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Control\Print\Monitors\ZepMon and delete Driver

If any of the above registry keys are giving you problems deleting, right click on them and click on Permissions. Then click on the Advanced button. Make sure the first box (Inherit from parent...) is checked. Click OK and OK. Then try deleting the entry again. Once you're done, close the Registry Editor.

Reboot the computer now and go back into SAFE MODE. Reconnect your internet access and run the rkfiles.bat and save the log. Now restart and post another FindIt’s log and HijackThis log along with the saved rkfiles log.
