iTunes can not connect to the iTunes store

i've just got an ipod touch 2G but have found that i can not connect to the iTunes store.

I ran diagnostics on the network connectivity and got this:

Why don't you try this:

Unplug your Ipod if it is currently connected to your computer.

Next, refresh your whole computer by restarting it.

Then run the program Itunes. Let it start fully.

Once it has started, plug in your Itouch and it should automatically sync.

dont worry guys i've sorted it out now! it turns out that there was a firewall thingy installed on my computer which i didn't know about so i just lett iTunes through and bam! a working iTunes store! :)

Thanks for letting us know! There seems to be a lot people having problems with the Itunes store lately; hopefully some of the problems will get solved by people reading this..

for some reason I am unable to connect to the itunes store...and when ever I try an error message pops up saying... iTunes could not connect to teh iTunes store. An Unknown error occured (-3212)
