cruzer problem

yesterday i plugged my 8gb sandisk into my XP machine. i was moving files from my Ubuntu laptop, if that matters. i ran a program from the drive. p2ktools, and when i closed the program windows said the device malfunction. I removed the drive and pluged it back in. now windows says the device is unknown and will not mount. this is really annoying. is there any way i can use this drive on my XP machine any more? it works on another XP computer and on my ubuntu computer.
