Hi,
I am running Windows XP on a Dell laptop.

Here is my problem:

I start my computer. I log in and everything is running smoothly. All of a sudden, the Symantec Endpoint Protection S/W which is running in the background, pops up a window saying that Suspicious.Vundo found in "C:\Windows\System32\5910c3p9\", 5910c3p9.core.dll quarantined.

After this my keyboard gives a very slow response. every letter typed takes about 1 second to appear on the screen. I have checked thrice and it happens exactly after the vundo is detected. Everything else: Internet, browser, mouse, Video, Audio, is working fine. No further spyware / Malware detected using Malaware, S&D and VundoFix.exe.

This started happening just after I repaired the windows installation using the XP installation disk.

Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks. It took me 15 minutes for this post.
