OK, so on a restart, I get no explorer.exe.

I get to the login screen, punch in the pwd and then... black. With a mouse pointer.

I can 3-finger into task manager and launch explorer.exe, but I want it back in the startup.

Any pointers? Especially those that don't involve a system restore?

Despising Vista nearly two years, but work won't let me do anything about it.
