Hello to everyone,
First of all sorry for my poor english.

Well I have like 9 virus/spyware/adware in my computer, I don't know how I got them.
Anyways my PC-Cillin 2005 antivirus gives me a notification every time I start the computer (or some minutes later).
I went to the website and read about every solution, did everything, restart and they were still there.
It's weird because sometimes the process they tell me to stop they are not running and the files to delete they are not there. The other thing I dont understand is that PCCillin says Scan action result: Denied Access. Does this means they are not in Quarantine.

Anyways here is a list of the "problems" I have:
ADW_SOLU180.A
ADW_DELFINMED.E
SPYW_WEBHANCER.A (is in two different files)
SPYW_WEBHANCER.B (is in two different files)
ADW_PROMLGAT.B
TROJ_BUDDY.F

Here goes my Log File:

Welcome to GTG.

Download KillBox http://www.atribune....ads/KillBox.exe
Download and install CleanUp http://cleanup.stevengould.org/

Go to My Computer->Tools->Folder Options->View tab and make sure that Show hidden files and folders is enabled. Also make sure that the System Files and Folders are showing/visible also. Please make sure system restore is enabled by right clicking on My Computer and go to Properties->System Restore and make sure that System Restore is enabled (box should be unchecked). Once you're clean we will turn this off and then create a new restore point.

Close out all open windows and disconnect the computer from any internet access.

1. SKIP

2. Go to Start->Run and type in services.msc and hit OK. Then look for 'System Startup Service (SvcProc)' and double click on it. Click on the Stop button and under Startup type, choose Disabled.

3. Run the CleanUp program you just installed and when prompted to reboot/logoff select NO.

4. Run KillBox. Go to Tools > Delete Temp Files > Click *OK* Copy and paste the following locations into KillBox one at a time. Checkmark the box that says 'Delete on Reboot' and checkmark the box 'Unregister DLL' (If available) Click the red circle with the white X and it will ask you to confirm the file for deletion, say YES and when the next box opens prompting you to reboot now...click NO...and proceed with the next file. Once you get to the last one click NO when it asks you to reboot.

**Note** Don't let KillBox reboot the computer...Reboot manually after the fixes for the HijackThis (see below).

C:\Windows\System32\svcproc.exe
C:\Windows\System32\Nail.exe
C:\WINDOWS\seeve.exe
C:\WINDOWS\mm15201518.Stub.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\nsvsvc\

5. Go to Start->Run and type in cmd and hit OK. Then type in each of the following (hit Enter key after each line):

cd windows
nail.exe /FullRemove
exit

6. Run a scan in HijackThis. Check each of the following and hit 'Fix checked' (after checking them) if they still exist (make sure not to miss any):

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [seeve] C:\WINDOWS\seeve.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [motoin] C:\WINDOWS\mm15201518.Stub.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Nsv] C:\WINDOWS\System32\nsvsvc\nsvsvc.exe
O15 - Trusted Zone: *.media-motor.net
O15 - Trusted Zone: *.popuppers.com
O23 - Service: System Startup Service (SvcProc) - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\svcproc.exe

7. Reboot the computer now. Reconnect your internet access and do the following now:

Download Ewido Security Suite at http://www.ewido.net/en/download/

Update its database at http://www.ewido.net...wnload/updates/

Run a scan and let it clean the computer.

**Note** DO NOT REBOOT the computer during the removal process. If you do the filenames will change. If you can't leave the computer on now, I suggest not running the logs below yet. Wait until you can leave it on.

Download FindIt's.zip to your desktop: http://forums.net-in...=post&id=142443

1. Unzip/extract the files inside to a folder on your desktop.
2. Open the folder. Double click on FindIt's.bat and wait for Notepad to open a text file. It will take a while so please be patient ...
3. Then post the results here along with the new HijackThis log.

Also do the following:

Please empty any Quarantine folder in your antivirus program and purge all recovery items in the Spybot program (if you use it) before running this tool.

Download the Mwav virus checker at http://www.mwti.net/antivirus/mwav.asp (Use Link 3)

1. Save it to a folder.
2. Reboot into Safe Mode.
3. Double click the Mwav.exe file. This is a stand alone tool and NOT just a virus checker......so it won't install anything.
4. Select all local drives, scan all files, and press SCAN. When it is completed, anything found will be displayed in the lower pane.
5. In the Virus Log Information Pane......
Left click and highlight all the information in the Lower pane --- Use &CTRL C &on your keyboard to copy everything found in the lower pane and save it to a notepad file
*Note* If prompted that a virus was found and you need to purchase the product to remove the malware, just close out the prompt and let it continue scanning. We are not going to use this to remove anything...but to ID the bad files.

Once you copy that to a Notepad file...highlight the text and copy it here.

Thanks sir!!
The first time I did it nothing happened... :-/
I did all again and it seemed to work but afterwards PCCillin told me that 2 of the virus appear again :-/
So I though in formating C:, I didnt wanted to waste ur time anymore, (I have an external harddrive with all the installers) but first I had to finish some projects, anyways, I dunno why or how, but the virus aren't appearing anymore... weird!
I haven't made another complete scan thou, but everytime I run FireFox or an internet connection like a couples of minutes after the warning message appear...
Anyways I have some question, that it would be cool if you can answer:

1) I have SP1 should I update to SP2, I've read good reviews about security but in other issues it seems its not that good. For example a co-worker has SP2 and it seems it's not working good with her Wi-Fi card...

2) First time in year that "something jumps" the PC-Cillin "security", and it seems that ewido works really good. Should I keep both of this anti-virus? Should I leave online one? In your oppinion what's the best antivirus I should use.

3) Any other recomendation to proect my self that I should know about? The company pays for the softwares so :-D

THANKS ONE MORE TIME greyknight17, when I get a credit card I will make sure to donate some money...

1. Yes, update to SP2 if you have no problems now. SP2 should have corrected that Wi-Fi issue by now if you get all the latest updates. It's a service that's being disabled I think that's prventing it from not working. It can be fixed easily.

2. Nope, keep only one antivirus since having more might cause conflicts. Glad you asked. I recommend using Grisoft AVG. It's free for personal use.

3. No need to pay for these. To help prevent future spyware installations/infections, please read the Anti-Spyware Tutorial and use the tools provided.

I hope that clears everything up.

Any more questions now before I close this topic?

:tazz: So I run a scan with Ewido... and I'm becoming crazy... it dosen't even make sense, because Ewido didn't find much (one trojan and it delete it) but PC-Cillin jumps again, while Ewido it's making there own scan, ;) it seems they are "sleeping" and thanks to the scan of Ewido PC-Cillin did detect them...

Two of the viruses are ithe restore points (I think it is there because of the path).

I don't know what to you... I thought everything was alright :-(

What I should do? :-(

That's why I usually want to help the user's till the end. You said you formatted but it doesn't look like you did a full format. Did you just install Windows over itself?

Yes, it's in the restore points. Normally when I get a user cleaned up, I will ask them to disable system restore and then enable it again to flush out the restore points.

1. Uninstall 180 Search Assistant and webHancer from the Add/Remove panel if they are listed.

C:\Windows\svcproc.exe
C:\Windows\Nail.exe
C:\Archivos de programa\whInstall\
C:\Program Files\180search Assistant\

5. SKIP

6. Run a scan in HijackThis. Check each of the following and hit 'Fix checked' (after checking them) if they still exist (make sure not to miss any):

O23 - Service: System Startup Service (SvcProc) - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\svcproc.exe (file missing)

7. Turn off system restore by right clicking on My Computer and go to Properties->System Restore and check the box for Turn off System Restore. Click Apply and then OK. Restart your computer and uncheck the same box to enable System Restore.

Reboot the computer now. Reconnect your internet access and post another HijackThis log.

I just format the Hard-Drive (I'm sorry I confused you, last time I didn't format it) so I guess now this virus are gone.

I install SP2, and PC-Cillin because its the one that we use at work, but you think I should change to AVG? Should I install another program to be secure, give me your recommendations in this matter, I don't want to bother any more in this forum.

Thanks you VERY much for your time...

Format again? OK, I know some users don't have time to do the fixes, so that is the best approach I guess.

Yes, I highly recommend using AVG. Free program and also does a great job at catching trojans.

Make sure to get the latest updates for Windows and Internet Explorer at http://v5.windowsupd...t.aspx?ln=en-us.

To help prevent future spyware installations/infections, please read the Anti-Spyware Tutorial and use the tools provided.

Are there any problems now? If not, you should be set to go.
