Thanks so much for your response. I've tried my best to follow directions, here's what I did:

Run a scan in HijackThis. Check each of the following and hit 'Fix checked' (after checking them) if they still exist (make sure not to miss any):

I did this, but got a strange response during the middle of the process and had to reboot. The program asked me if I was sure I wanted to delete/fix ALL the files they had found, I said yes.

I ran AboutBuster and will post the scan at the end of this message.

I went to delete the files/folders listed but could not find any of them on the computer.

I ran HijackThis again, and will post the scan after the AboutBuster scan..

As far as this:

This is probably OK, but I want to make sure it's nothing bad. Do you know what the following program is for:

C:\PROGRAM FILES\ONE-TOUCH\CP32NBTN.EXE
C:\PROGRAM FILES\ONE-TOUCH\CDROMMNT.EXE
C:\PROGRAM FILES\ONE-TOUCH\KBOSDCTL.EXE
C:\PROGRAM FILES\ONE-TOUCH\CP32NKCC.EXE
I don't know what these are!! Tried to do a search and came up with nothing. Should I try and delete them if I can? Where should I search?

Ok, here's the latest hijackthis:

Please try to stay in one topic. I closed your other topic.

OK, for this fix, if the filename changed for the R0/R1 entries in Hijackthis (see below), just fix whatever the new filename is. Just telling you this just in case it does change the name around.

Please print out or copy this page to Notepad. Make sure to work through the fixes in the exact order it is mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes. You should 'not' have any open browsers when you are following the procedures below.

Go to My Computer->Tools/View->Folder Options->View tab and make sure that 'Show hidden files and folders' (or 'Show all files') is enabled. Also make sure that 'Display the contents of system folders' is checked. If you have Windows XP, the search feature is a little different. When you click on 'All files and folders' on the left pane, click on the 'More advanced options' at the bottom. Make sure that 'Search system folders', 'Search hidden files and folders', and 'Search subfolders' are checked.

For the options that you checked/enabled earlier, you may uncheck them after your log is clean. If we ask you to fix a program that you use or want to keep, please post back saying that (we don't know every program that exists, so we may tell you to delete a program that we think is bad to keep).

Download AboutBuster http://www.greyknigh...AboutBuster.zip and unzip it to a folder on your the Desktop. Run AboutBuster and click OK. Click Update and then Check For Update to see if there are any updates. Close the program now.

Reboot into Safe Mode by hitting the F8 key until menu shows up. In some systems, this may be the F5 key, so try that if F8 doesn't work. Make sure to close any open browsers. Uninstall the following via the Add/Remove Panel (Start->(Settings)->Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs) if they exist:

Security iGuard

WildTangent - This is an online gaming package that is installed by a number of third party applications and even OEMs, ISPs and AIM. The games aspect of this is really rather cool. The being installed without you asking for it isn't cool at all. They collect information about you and your usage. We recommend uninstalling it.

Run a scan in HijackThis. Check each of the following and hit 'Fix checked' (after checking them) if they still exist (make sure not to miss any):

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = res://C:\WINDOWS\system\nxoqy.dll/sp.html#28129

Run AboutBuster and click OK. Click Start->OK and then follow the rest of the prompts to scan (choose Yes/OK for all). It will ask you if you want a second scan, choose Yes. Save the log file and post it here.

Delete the following Files/Folders (delete folders if no filename is specified) according to their directory (if none, just do a search for them) and delete them if they exist:

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\IPNY32.EXE
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\APPRN.DLL
RUNDLL32.exe C:\PROGRA~1\WILDTA~1\
C:\Program Files\Security iGuard\
c:\wp.exe
c:\wp.bmp

Reboot into Normal Mode run a new HijackThis scan. Save the log file and post it here.

This is probably OK, but I want to make sure it's nothing bad. Do you know what the following program is for:

C:\PROGRAM FILES\ONE-TOUCH\CP32NBTN.EXE
C:\PROGRAM FILES\ONE-TOUCH\CDROMMNT.EXE
C:\PROGRAM FILES\ONE-TOUCH\KBOSDCTL.EXE
C:\PROGRAM FILES\ONE-TOUCH\CP32NKCC.EXE

Do you also have the wallpaper/background problem? If so, do the following:

Right click on http://www.greyknigh...pairDesktop.reg and download that file. Double click on it and click on Yes when it asks you if you want to merge it into the registry. Once that's done, restart your computer.

Login as usual and now right click on your Desktop and go to Properties. Next go to Desktop tab->Customize Desktop button->Web tab. Uncheck everything listed there. Then delete all the entries listed except for 'My Current Home Page'. Click OK and OK.
