Ok. So, I went to download a keygen for this media recorder (dumb move i know i know). So I received the keygen, went through all that jazz with the trying to patch the file, and it didn't work. So this is on my computer. I have 2 hard drives in my computer (I took an old one from another computer and duel harddrived (i ran it off of one hard drive, with the other just acting as an extra one). So, i got this virus. It kept on like shutting down my computer, not allowing me to connect to the internet via the wireless connection that i posses, and it was also not letting me open my hard drive. I got this message : "Windows cannot find 'RECYCLER/S-3-6-28-100017560-100029559-100005007-7194.com'. Make sure you type the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the start button and then click Seach."
So I installed norton antivirus and tried to run a scan and it kept coming up and sayin that it detects this virus and then it removes it and restarts and reader_s and reader_sl still keep coming up. Then i went to the configuration and made it so they wouldn't start up when windows starts up, and that didn't work. So, this is my hard drive with all my music and stuff on it so this is the only one that i really cared about. Nothing was working, the computer was being slow, and i wanted to update my ipod, and i figured that the antivirus upstairs may be messed up due to the virus. I brought the hard drive down stairs to my other computer (the family computer(idiot!)) and i opened the computer and plugged it in. So it recognized the hard drive and installed the necessary drivers for it to work. I ran the antivirus on that drive to see if i could delete the virus before i restarted the computer for the changes to be saved with the new hard drive on the computer. It "deleted" the virus and i restarted. I get on and i see if i can open my hard drive and it gave me that same message again. I look at the hard drive from this computer and that one wont work either. I looked in the task manager and there it is, "reader_sl". At this point, i went online to check it out even more and i managed to finally understand that it is a malware disguising itself as an adobe reader file. So i cant really go and delete the file by opening my C or F drives(the hard drives on my computer). How can i remove it?
