hey. i have a dell dimension 3000 approximately 4-5 years old and just recently something odd happened.
when i turned on my computer, the tower acted normal flashing all of its lights as it does and the keyboard's start up lights. but nothing was responsive. the monitor didnt display anything, the keyboard didnt flash anymore lights when the caps lock or something of the sort was clicked, the mouse was non responsive, the wireless card didnt flash its light as it always does on start up. i checked all the cords and unplugged everything and plugged them back in and tried again but i got the same situation with still the desktop tower flashing its normal lights and nothing else responsive. if anyone could help me it would be greatly appreciated.
thanks!

Welcome to GeeksToGo, I hope I will be able to assist you,

Did you recently install any new hardware or software? sometimes they can cause this...

If everything is powered on in the case Powersupply and any LEDs on the MOBO, and also the Fan for the CPU

If you don't have power to everything in your unit don't continue with the next step!!

Reboot and push the Insert Key continuously during the boot cycle sometimes this will "reset the computer" if you want to call it that. If not we will have to look in to it a little further.
