Sorry for posting TWO problems in ONE thread but i didnt want to make two threads....

So First off HDD question
I dug out an "old" HDD from the Gateway PC that the Cap. in the Mobo blew.
its a 10Gb HDD that i was installing Win XP on when the Cap. went.
(It was working perfectly)

I figured i would finish installing XP and keep in in my good desktop as a back up JUST IN CASE.
But problems i have never had reformatting with my Discs when it came up it was 800x600(or W/E) and in like 4bit color!
Okay, no biggie probably just an update i need or something.

But when i tried to set-up my network it said my card was not found, so i turned it off and moved the card an tried to bring it up and it FROZE right after the Windows XP Load screen
reset and froze after it displayed the Drive check.
:)

Last i saw something like this is when the HDD in my sisters IBM went out.

Later im going to plug it in as my d/: Slave and run a Status/fitness check on it.

Second "issue"

Im running this Gangsta Program Called XPadder that Emulates Mouse Functions on a Game pad(in my case a wired 360)
BUT i REALLY REALLY want to use the Chatpad as my keyboard but no one seems to have a program to run it yet(other then XPCC and it doesn't like my computer)
And i know NOTHING about programing or writing codes or i would try it myself

So if anyone knows of a program, or Patch that will work with the Chatpad on XP (SP2) Please LMK

Thanks in advance

Need some clarification on the 1st problem. 2nd I can not help you with.

Did the 10gb drive have the OS installed when it was in the gateway?
Are you now trying to boot off this drive while it is in another computer?

If yes, then this wont work because the "old" drive is installed with the drivers/ chipset for the gateway.
Your other computer will have a different set of drivers and hardware.
Sometimes a "repair" install will fix it, but is usually easier and less painfull to just reformat.

The XP OS is the Copy sent with my PC that i installed when i put it in My current.
The Gateway OS was ME. which i formatted when i installed XP on it.
SO it has the drivers for my Stuff...lol
