I am using Windows XP SP3 (don't know if that makes a difference or not?) and I recently got an ipod nano. My objective here is to put family videos onto my nano. I recently bought Quicktime Pro because i thought it would convert anything I was having trouble with but anytime i want to open any video with wmv. extention, it says that Quicktime can't open it because it is a file that Quicktime doesn't understand. Ok fair enough...it's not a file that is in Quicktime format.
Now, clearly my question is how can I play/transfer these wmv to my ipod nano? I am assuming that there is some way of converting these files using another type of program....??? Currently, I have only AVI video on my nano. My sister in law will email me videos of my little niece and I want to be able to put it on my nano so i can see them while away from my desktop and to also show other people.
Can someone shed some light on this dilemma for me pleeeaaasee? :)

I use Format factory for my ipod and just use the one click option "Convert all to Mobile Device" then from the Devices screen I choose the manufacturer dropdown and select "AppleiPhone & iPod" then from the model drop down select "iPod 320x240 MPEG4". Format factory then converts the media you select and saves it to your pc. Then I use Itunes to upload it to my iPod nano. Hope this helps you out some :)
