Well... I just bought a new external harddrive. Got a decent deal on it.

I bought a Western Digital 2.5in 500GB SATA drive, and the proper enclosure.

I connect via USB and eSATA, and the light comes on on the harddrive. Nothing happens after that. Just the fancy light saying "I have power!" also, the drive spins.

Other than that, I'm lost...
And if it matters, here is what I bought.

Thanks! :)

Have you tried connecting the drive to the system without the enclosure?

I fixed it... It was a very stupid error on my part, and something I have done many times before and just completely forgot about this time around.

I forgot to initilize it in the disk management XD

I have no idea how I forgot about it this time.

Problem solved :)
