HI. After my computer is turned on, when I click the first thing like IE or e-mail, McAfee Virus and Firewall are turned off. I have to manually enable them. This happens every time now. I've reinstalled McAfee but it still happens.
Would you please take a look at my HJT log and see if there's something in there doing it? As always, many thanks for the help. Tom

Can you do a Find Files for any of these files?
VSCShellExtension.dll
mcvsshl.dll

Let me know which one(s) you find and the full path to the files.

Well, a search including hidden files and folders etc. did not turn up either one. What now???

Those are the BHO's that McAfee uses to protect you while surfing.
If they are gone I'm afraid a re-install of McAfee is necessary.
