E-mail crashes when trying to browse files

I use verizon and lately when trying to attach a file to e-mail the whole thing locks up. I click to browse and the window partially pops up ...then nothing. Have to close the internet and start over. I am usually pulling files from Corel Draw but the fact that the window locks up that quick makes me believe it's Verizon. Any ideas?
