Hi folks,
I wanted to load a program on a disc onto my hard drive, with no drive to put it into, I bought a HP DVD writer.
Is that the wrong device to use to load my program onto my internal hard drive?
Thanks.
(I can't even get the new hardware CD to load onto my Acer.)

The little Acer Aspires don't have CD units and they don't run Windows, most of the cheaper ones don't anyway.
Any USB drive should be capable of working, however don't expect Windows programs to run on Linux.

This one has windows XP, but no hard drive.
I tried my new DVD burner install software, didn't even work on my laptop with a drive, back to Best Buy tomorrow.
