IE 7 problem

I keep losing my pictures and graphics when I am on the internet, and using either IE explorer 7 or my AOL. If I go to the properties, and advanced, I then check the "show pictures". I have to do this every time I want to access the internet, and yes, I have clicked "apply". Any ideas?
