My dad is 1/3 owner of 3 restaurants. 2 of the restaurants have been open a while and a guy who does websites decided to buy the .com domains for these 2 restaurants. I have the .net but would like to have the .com domain. This guy does not have any information up on the websites. It's just a blank page.

So I seem to recall that I have read somewhere that it is possible to obtain a website from someone if they have no information. How to i request to get this? If someone could point me in the right direction then that would be great.

Thanks ahead.

you would have to contact the owner and ask him to sell the domain to you

then you can hope that he forgets to renew his registration of the domain name when the time comes....that's about it....he owns it so the only way to get it is to have him give up control of it

Might look into running programs like eNom Domain Grabber 1.13. I never used these so don't know how effective these programs are at monitoring the domain name's expiration dates.

Other programs found here.
