I have a Hp dv2000t laptop that i purchased 2 years ago with Windows xp Professional. I recently acquired some sort of virus that does not let my computer boot up past the Windows Xp loading screen. The computer just restarts by itself. I tried to to a Repair but it isn't even an option on the screen when i enter the XP Disc Installation. I tried to do a Recover Console, but am not familiar with it. If anyone can help me it would be great.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself.
If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty start a topic and post the requested logs in THAT forum.
Once the malware technicians have cleared out any infection and given you a clean bill of health, if the problem continues then feel free to post back here and we can investigate the problem even more.
