Hi,

I recently went to some sites that I probably shouldn't have gone to and my computer has never been the same again. For starters, I was not able to perform credible searches through search sites such as Google, then I noticed an AZESearch toolbar in Internet Explorer. I've got desktop icons called Shopping, Adult, Casino, Spyware Remover and the like that repeatedly appear even after I delete them. On top of that, my computer has become extremely slow and seems to "hang"several times a day forcing me to restart it. I am posting my Hijack This log below.

Might anyone be able to help me? (Oh yeah, I also have a million and one popups which is not a problem I normally face.)

Thanks.

Welcome to Geeks to Go!
We can definitely help you, but first you need to help us. The first step in this process is to apply Service Pack 1a for Windows XP. Without this update, you're WIDE open to re-infection.
Apply the update, reboot, and post a fresh Hijack This log.

Hi Bananafanafo,

First and foremost, thanks for the help. I am fully patched up, I've got up to SP2 on my computer.

Also, I forgot to mention in my first post: I've already gone through the basic cleanup of my comp, i.e., Adaware, Spybot, Anti-virus, etc.

Hoping to hear more from you soon.

Thanks again.

Your HiJackThis log does not show Service Pack 2 or even Service Pack 1! I am not allowed to help you until your log shows one of these updates.

Ok, I will reapply them though I've double checked in the Add/Remove programs section of the Control Panel and they are both listed there. Let me try again.
