No 3d / opengl games work

I don't think it's all 3d games that don't work, just opengl games. Counter Strike works though. I just added Geforce 7600 512mb agp GS but for some reason it installs as a Geforce 7600 GT. i've got the compaq presario sr1311nx which I don't think has enough power to power the video card but could that be the reason it's crashing? What else could it be?
