Go Here
If you have any of these items then yes you have Google Desktop
At that point the fix is to uninstall Google Desktop and then try and see if the error happens. If not then reinstall Google Desktop if you wish. This seems to be the fix the problem.
If you do not know how to uninstall it then go Here for Google Desktop Uninstall and follow the steps.
Please post back and let me know if this fixs the problem.

I have now deleted Google desktop as I did not use it or want it
