I posted a topic earlier on how to open more half open TPC connections hoping that it would fix a log in problem with a game that I play called Second Life. I've been clearing the cache every time I log in hoping to get in which only provides a 33% sucess rate. I have recently started lowering the processing priority down to below normal and clearing the cache. This will log me in nearly every time which is great. It seems to me like the game is taking up too many resources that it is un able to maintain a stable internet connection to log in. I was wanting to check with you guys to get your input on this issue and if you have any recomendations on what I can do to fix this issue. I'm not wanting to buy a new processor for this computer since I am hoping to save up my money for a new computer, but if I can find a fairly inexpensive processor I might me willing to. It's a Dell Dimension 4600 with a 2.4GHz processor. I would like to stick with this processor if I can though.
