hey first off i am really dense about hardware

i have an Acer Aspire SA80 (http://www.dooyoo.co...e-sa80/details/) and my friend has told me to buy a new motherboard for it as it has broken and he will set it up for me the only problem is i have no idea what it is

You will need to call acer or locate a Acer authorized service center near you. Then just give them the model number of your system (Aspire SA80) and they should be able to get the motherboard for you from that.

Google acer and then go to their site. Click on country and then locate a acer authorized service center near you.
That should tell you who is in your area
