Nothing too serious here...

These programs are using memory and aren't required. Please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, then click fix checked.
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [msnmsgr] "C:\PROGRAM FILES\MSN MESSENGER\MSNMSGR.EXE" /background
O4 - Startup: America Online 8.0 Tray Icon.lnk = C:\Program Files\America Online 8.0b\aoltray.exe

Adding memory is one of the cheapest, easiest things you can do to improve yur systems performance. Do you know how much memory you currently have?

Hello again...

I am not sure how to check my memory area...
But I did find this..

Resource Meter:
System resources 67% free
User resources 67% free
GDI resources 84% free

I will go to that site that you pasted, and see what it states about adding memory.. Then I have to find out how to install it.. Costy little devels for having a specialist install it...

Thanks for the help!!! (((hugs)))

And here is my new log:

Sorry, :D it's a free program that you download and run from your computer. It will generate a report of your computer's components. Just paste that report back in this thread and we'll help you! <_<

Shoot, it wasn't able to tell us all that we needed to know. It does say you have 64MB of memory. An upgrade would certainly improve your performance.

Let's try this. Click Here: -> http://www.crucial.c...fr=HP&submit=Go

Select your product line, model of computer. Reply with the recommended memory link. <_<

Good Morning <_<

I do hope that this is the information that you are needing... This site just basicly states about memory upgrade, but it dont tell me how much memory I have right now not in use...

Thanks... :D

System Information for the
HP Pavilion 6635
System Type: Desktop Computer
Maximum memory: 256MB
Standard memory: 64MB removable
Slots/banks: 2 (2 banks of 1)
What's best for you?
Crucial Recommends:
The HP Pavilion 6635 has a maximum capacity of 256MB.
You can achieve notable performance gains by upgrading to the 256MB maximum. This may require that you replace the modules that are currently in your system.
(Keep in mind that sometimes BIOS updates and other hardware configurations can alter memory recommendations.)

Here's about the cheapest I could find--that's also a name brand and will work with your system:
http://www.newegg.co...-136-114&depa=0

It's $24 w/free shipping for 128MB

So, you could buy one stick of memory and add it to your exisiting 64MB for a total of 192MB, or you could buy two sticks, and replace the existing stick for a total of 256MB.

I guess I'd just add one for now. You can always add the second one later if you decide. <_<

Thanks for the info...

I take it this is the main reason for everything going so slow... lol

I am strongly looking into getting more memory.. My friends say the same thing...

My puter also "when I close one window to look at the other" well, that one window wont fully close...
It still keeps certain boxes up, but no info and hides what is on the new page...

If you understood all of that....lol

But I am thinking this is due to low memory as well...

Well, off to work I go.... Thanks again (((hugs)))

64MB is not enough memory for today's software. You will defiantly notice a serious speed increase if you upgrade your memory. I promise, you'll wonder why you didn't do it earlier. <_<
