Hello, I'm having trouble getting my sound to work. It will work on my USB headset but not on my speakers.
I checked the device manager and it says that my Creative Audigy Audio Processor (WDM) is (Code 10) and cannot start.
I've also tried to update the driver as it is an older one but it won't allow me to and rolls back automatically.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

You have posts on multiple boards
This is the link to the other board Here It is not wise to get help from multiple sites as neither has any ideal what the other is suggesting. If you would like help from us please close the other. If you want help from the other then please ask to close this topic.

ok lets see what we can do. please supply the following info

If this is a name brand system:
Make and Model
Operating System
Age of the computer
Memory Total
Hard Drive Size, How much free space

If this is custom then We will need the following:
The CPU brand and model
The Motherboard brand and model
Ram amount and speed
Cd\Dvd rom interface IDE/ SATA
Hard Drive size and free space
Any cards in PCI slots
Any software installed\updated and driver updates done just before problem started

All this will help in determining a course of action to best correct the problem you are experiencing.

Lets try the most obvious first. Go Here and download the "Sound Blaster Audigy 2 (D)"

Install and try

If that doesn't work then go Here2 and download the AC97 and install it
Try again. Post back with results

I have a USB headset that i've been using and that works fine. The speakers are powered i can hear kind of a low static noise coming from the speakers. The driver that is installed now is pretty old but i could'nt update that . Should i try now after installing what you posted?

The current driver installed is from 3/23/03 5.12.1.328 at least that's what the device manager says.
I've tried the newest driver from the creative website but that was the one that rolled back after i installed it for some reason...
I'll try the one you found and post results. thanks again.

The link you posted said i needed to be a paying member so i looked for it on another site and found it. It said the same thing about not being a ZS card.
I tried the newest driver from creative that i had downloaded before i posted all of this and it worked this time so whatever you had me install must have worked.
Sound is good now! THANK YOU!! :)
