I believe what you are referring to is the System Restore feature. As far as why Revo Uninstaller is having problems, here is two reason given by Revo website and how to fix it.

If the application is already uninstalled then Revo Uninstaller will not list it and cannot remove the leftovers. To remove the leftovers you have two options:

1.Reinstall the application and uninstall it with Revo Uninstaller.

2.Manually delete the files and the registry keys related with the application.

I'm not sure what it is you are trying to do. It sounds like you have leftover files from a uninstall of programs that you are trying to get rid of. It also looks like you restored and that is where you have the files you are trying to get off your system.
Am I correct on this? How is the system running other then this issue?
Can you give me some additional info listed below

If this is a name brand system: Dell, Compaq, Hp, Gateway
Make
Model
Operating System
Age of the computer
Memory Total
Hard Drive Size, How much free space

If this is custom then We will need the following:
The CPU brand and model
The Motherboard brand and model
Ram amount and speed
Cd\Dvd rom interface IDE/ SATA
Hard Drive size and free space
Any cards in PCI slots
Any software installed\updated and driver updates done just before problem started

All this will help in determining a course of action to best correct the problem you are experiencing.

If it is just a empty folder or has remnants of old programs that you have uninstalled then it should be safe to delete them. If possible can you post the names of the folders just so we can make sure they are definately safe to delete.
By restoring you take the system back to when there was no problems.
If you uninstalled a program before the restore and everything wasn't deleted then even on a system restore they will still be there. When you unistall there are times when the uninstall will not get rid of everything. When this happpens there is usually a message stating that some elements could not be deleted and that you would have to delete them manually.

Hey

Well they are in program files as files and as icon in control panel Smarty Uninstaller 2008 Pro is the name of the icon and in my windows own add and remove program and revo unistaller program. It is the name of the programs in the list´s both unistallers that i really need to get away it´s not doing anything wrong but they are just annoing, couple of games and smarty thing. If i can detour fom thi topic can person make the vista start folder act like xp without looking like xp, i can´t grap and drag folders in to diffrent folder that i have creaded that i could in xp, i mean games together and security together and so an. And why not all the start programs appeare in the folder when you look at in windows exploler. And is there program that can delete folder and files of unistalled programs that just sit at program folder and windows folder. In there case the uinstall work fine but theu just left empty folders behine with out any message. And in my problem the did uistall fine all thing cone from everywhare just after rewind thit the came back but not fully, and they where n message after them that anything was left behine. Anyway the rewind did not have anything to do with these programs my computer just started when i closed one IE window started opening that window over 20 times and when you hit x one of them one pup up. It did that that two times after that nothinh it dtill multipaid when i closed my internet connection. I check virus, malware, spyware and anything else and nothing.

if you have uninstalled these programs and the folders are still there even if there are some files left in the folders then you can just delete them as the programs themselves have been uninstalled.
If they are icons on your desktop then just delete them
If they are not listing in Add\remove or either Uninstaller program then what you need to do is go into the folder for that program and look for a uninstall exe file. If none exists you can simply delete the folder and all its contents.
If the program is starting on bootup then delete it from your startup folder.
If it is not there

Please click on
Start>>Run>>Type in msconfig>>>press enter
Now click on Startups
Then uncheck everything that you are saying is starting automatically on bootup, then click Apply and then Ok
The system should restart on it's own then, if not then restart.

Post back with the results

As far as making Vista Startup folder act like XP startup folder I am not sure. I will research it and try to find out.
The popups you are having is either you have gotten a virus or you have entered a site that is using some kind of adware
Make sure your IE is up to date or go to Firefox browser. It is more secure and you can import all your IE favorites into Firefox's bookmarks with a few clicks of the mouse.
What antivirus, spyware, malware, firewall programs are you running?
Are all the above up to date
Depending on your version of IE you can go to the options and enable the internal popup blocker
By the description you gave on the popups you very well may be infected with some type of adware virus. I would strongly suggest since there is a possibility of this

Please go to the "Malware Forum" link in my signature below and follow the instructions at the top
Especially the "You Must Read This Before Posting A HijackThis Log".

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself.
If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty start a topic and post the requested logs in THAT forum.
Once the malware technicians have cleared out any infection and given you a clean bill of health, and if the problem continues then feel free to post back here and we can investigate the problem even more.
