Hello angel.a & Welcome to GTG !

Can format as much as you like... i believe you would be in-turn reducing the life of the hard drive only for the fact that you are writing to the drive so many amounts of time... i''m certain that only a certain amount of re-writing can be done , depending on the type of hard drive you have i guess

Can I ask why are you installing windows 5 times in 9 days?
What problems are you having that you have to do this? We need to find the cause as this is not good. I have had my system for 6 years and due to major upgrades and OS updates gone wrong I have only formatted 4 times in that whole time.

We will need some more information
If this is a name brand system:
Make
Model
Operating System
Age of the computer
Memory Total
Hard Drive Size, How much free space

If this is custom then We will need the following:
The CPU brand and model
The Motherboard brand and model
Ram amount and speed
Cd\Dvd rom interface IDE/ SATA
Hard Drive size and free space
Any cards in PCI slots
Any software installed\updated and driver updates done just before problem started

All this will help in determining a course of action to best correct the problem you are experiencing.

If you had to reinstall Windows 5 times on 4 months old computer, it's high time to take advantage of the warranty.

I have to agree with broni 100%

take advantage of the warranty !

That is the reason why you have warranty...

Best of luck
