Details, please.

Borrowed CD has to be exact same XP version (Pro for Pro, Home for Home), and a very same SP as installed on your computer.

Well i followed the instructions you said if i didn't have the cd to run sfc. But i restarted and it still asks for me to put in the cd.

Most likely, because...

Note This method will not necessarily work as well, as when using Windows CD, because not always ALL system files are backed up on your hard drive. Also, backed up files may be corrupted as well.

Try to borrow Windows CD.
Meanwhile....
Did you disconnect iPod?
Did you remove USB hubs, and roots through Device Manager, and restart?

Oh, this is dreaded Media Edition?
You'll have to find Media Edition CD with exact same SP on it, because Media Edition CD won't let you slipstream any SP.

crap yeah it is....i'll have to dig i have it somewhere in my house. Do i delete all the usb connections in device manager then restart?
