Hello Mate, I need a big help here... I just format and install Win XP Home Edition SP2 on a pc which. And after the installation, the graphics was so bad, and i don't know what to do. Any Idea Please??

It's not bring normal colour, and i couldn't move d resolution.... and it's as low as (Lowest 4 bit)......

What is the model of your computer, or tell us what is your graphics card model.
Go to Start -> Run -> dxdiag
Go to the "Display" tab and tell what is listed in there.

After following edege2022 suggestion then can you go to
Start>Run>Right Click on My Computer>Properties>Harddware Tab>Device Manager

Please check and see if there are any entries with a yellow exclamation mark or red x

What is your compaq model number?
Compaq is the make. Without model we can't find the drivers for your video card which seems at this point to be the reason it will not change resolution for you

Under display in the Everest Report he had

This led to a generic driver being used instead of a device-specific one. The devices are inconclusive as to which drivers to use. Please provide your computer model as rshaffer said above.

OK Here. is the download page for the Intel Extreme Graphics driver. The problem is there are several to choose from. If you feel comfortable we need you to open the case and look at the motherboard. Somewhere on there you will see a chip with the name of Intel 828, 830 or 845
This is the graphics chipset
That will help in deciding which driver to download
