I keep getting an error message that says:

Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and nees to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Then it has the "Send Error Report"and the "Don't Send" buttons. If I click either of those then Explorer shuts down, the desktop icons, taskbar and start button all disappear. If I don't, everything runs slowly. I can run from task manager and I've scanned with Norton, Spybot, Super AntiSpware and Malwarebytes' Anit-Malware and Spybot found four issues and deleted them. None of the others found anythin after that.

Also, when Explorer stops responding, anything I opened by means of the start menu or the desktop also stop responding.

Both of my computers are having similar problems so I'd really appreciate some help.

Thanks. :)

When does explorer stop responding? Is it after you close a folder?

Try booting into safe mode, and see if you can replicate this problem.
